The apricot is the most typical and representative product of the municipality of Porreres in Mallorca. This year, the City Council, with the collaboration of the Agricultural Cooperative and Merchants Association, organizes the first fair around this fruit which now is in full harvest.
In this fair, will be participating both apricots producers registered in the municipality as owners of land with apricot trees within their boundaries. Besides the exhibition and sale of apricots and their products, there will be various competitions, including one of sweet cakes made with this fruit.
Presented will also be the exhibition Temps d'albercocs, with rare photographs related to the collection of apricots, the drying or processing of products such as jams.
