On May 27, 1866, Santa Maria del Cami inaugurated its annual Fira and five years later, in 1871, the last Sunday in April was established as a stable date for its conclusion. Since then 153 years have passed, which Sa Fira is celebrating this year, an event that started as showing traditional agricultural and livestock and has grown to become a sample of culture, tradition and local industry.
The events last more than three weeks and on Sunday 27 is the big day, Sa Fira, with numerous samples of industrial, commercial and atsisanal character.
On Monday 28, the Firó will be held, with activities for children, Fireta del juego, sampling and tasting of sweet and savory cakes and fireworks. The last event of the Fira takes place on Saturday May 3 with Sa Nit de Sa Bubota, with the show Divina Bubota.
