Fira de l'Albercoc Porreres 2021

The apricot is the most typical and representative product of the municipality of Porreres in Mallorca. The City Council, with the collaboration of the Agricultural Cooperative, organizes a fair around this fruit which now is in full harvest.

Will be participating both apricots producers registered in the municipality as owners of land with apricot trees within their boundaries.

The fair itself is held on Saturday June 26, with the apricot market, but the activities begin a few days before.

Friday June 25
19:00 h. Sala de Plenos of the Porreres Town Hall
Presentation of the project of the experimental field of apricot trees, financed by Leader funds

19:30 h. La Caixa exhibition hall
Inauguration of the exhibition of the photography contest and delivery of the prizes to the winners

Saturday June 26

Virtual storytelling

On-site drawing contest

Apricot market. There will be stalls from: Sa Cooperativa de Porreres, Pep de Son Valls (organic apricot producer), Magdalena Sagreras (apricot producer), Joan Ballester Batli (special cooked apricot cheese), Es Recó Porrerenc (special apricot jam with sobrasada) , Llucia de Tot Gust (special folded apricot jam)

Presentation of the Vila de Porreres 2021 literary awards and concert by Da Braccio Quartet, a string quartet that performs works by Luigi Boccherini, F.J. Haydn and Paul Hindemith. Free

In addition, the gastronomic offer during these days in Porreres has the apricot as protagonist, and the restaurants and bars of the town offer exquisite delicacies based on this fruit. Check the offer of the fourteen participating venues.
