This title is part of the cycle Los compositores de cine en concierto (The film composers in concert), shown in DVD format and, on this occasion, presented by Joan Arbona. Fimucité is one of the world's most recognized film music festivals and is celebrated since 2007 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The festival is directed by Diego Navarro, who also cunducts, along with Joel McNeely, the Tenerife Film Orchestra and Choir in this concert which was held on June 28, 2008 in the Auditorium of Tenerife.
The program includes pieces by Bernard Herrmann (Psycho, Vertigo and Farenheit451), Jerry Goldsmith (MacArthur, Patton, Star Trek and First Knight), John Barry (Somewhere in Time, Out of Africa and Fire in the body), Franz Waxman (Taras Bulba) and John Williams (Saving Private Ryan and The Phantom Menace).
The cycle The film composers in concert is organized by the city Council of Palma and la Asociación Balear Amigos de las Bandas Sonoras (the Balearic Association of Friends of soundtracks).
