'Filumena Marturano'

Oriol Broggi masterfully adapts and directs the new staging of Filumena Marturano, the most famous play by the Italian playwright, director and humorist Eduardo de Filippo (1900-1984).

After 25 years of living supported by Domenico Soriano and multiple refusals to marry her, Filumena decides to feign a serious illness to get Domenico to agree to marry her on her deathbed. The house is full of doctors and neighbors, and in the midst of this funeral atmosphere her priest arrives to give her last rites and the wedding is organized.

Meanwhile, a young lover of Domenico anxiously waits in the next room for Filumena to give the last gasp… But once married, Filumena Marturano gets out of bed fresh as a rose, and this is where the show begins.

This production of La Perla 29 is performed by Clara Segura, Enrico Ianniello, Jordi Corominas, Marissa Josa, Jordi Llovet, Xavier Ruano, Josep Sobrevals, Sergi Torrecilla, Montse Vellvehí and Carla Vilaró.
