Figues d’un Altre Paner

The Palma Folk festival presents the Menorcan Figues d'un Altre Paner, a group that draws on the musical tradition of their island with contributions from Catalan-speaking lands.

They began to compose and create their own repertoire in 2020, with a clear desire to continue experimenting with traditional music through a polyphonic treatment of voices and a feminist vision in the treatment of lyrics.

The promoters of the project are sister and brother Annabel and Joan Carles Villalonga, who have been dedicated to music for more than 20 years. They have recently been joined by the Mallorcan singer Marta Elka.
