Festes de la Blessed Francinaina 2026 - Tradition and village life (Sencelles)

Cultural and solidarity events and the big day with Floral Offering + xocolatada (February 14–27)

If you want to experience an authentic Pla de Mallorca festival, this is one of the good ones: there are activities to do as a family, solidarity plans and several key days... but the big highlight is 02/27, when the town "dresses up" as a party and the main events are celebrated.

Very local atmosphere, living tradition and an easy-to-follow program: you can go to a specific event or stay all day in the center of town.

❌ To keep in mind
For the trip to Santanyí they require prior registration (and they are dressed as peasants). And if you want to see the events of the big day well, go ahead.

02/14 (Saturday)

• 10:30 - Guided visit to the exhibition "Dones al món cristià. A vision from the Mallorcan perspective" (Museu d'Art Sacre de Mallorca, Palma)
• Meeting point: 10:15 in front of the Palau Episcopal de Palma

02/15 (Sunday)

• 10:30 - Celebration of the Eucharist with boys and girls from the catechesis (parish church)
• 11:30 - Inauguration of the “jardinet” of the Beata monument (Plaça de la Vila)

02/16 (Monday)

• 15:30 - Sa Tia Xiroia cookie workshop (CEIP Can Bril)
• 19:30 - Solidarity talk (Local for the Elderly of Sencelles): Religious Oblates of Mallorca + coordinator of Casal Petit (the proceeds go to the solidarity campaign)

02/21 (Saturday)

• 11:00 - Departure of the XI Passejada Solidària to the Caseta de la Beata (Plaça de la Vila)
• 17:00 - Popular dance with Música Nostra (Plaça de la Vila)

02/22 (Sunday) - Santanyí

• Participation of the town of Sencelles in the XXVI Festa de Santanyí in honor of Blessed Francinaina
• Registrations until 02/18 (Convent de la Caritat and magatzem Can Renyina). It is requested to dress as a peasant
• 09:00 - Departure (Mossèn Bartomeu Oliver Pass)
• 10:30 - Start of the colcada + solemn mass (parish church of Sant Andreu, Santanyí)
• Cant dels Goigs + soft drink for participants
• 13:30 - Return to Sencelles

02/24 (Tuesday)

• During the morning - Visit of the “caparrots” of s’Estol de Sa Tia Xiroia (CEIP Can Bril)

02/25 (Wednesday)

• From 08:30 - Sale of bouquets to participate in the Floral Offering (Passatge Mossèn Bartomeu Oliver and later in Plaça Nova)

02/26 (Thursday)

• 19:00 - Prayer vigil around the Tomb of the Blessed (Convent de la Caritat de Sencelles)

⭐ 02/27 (Friday) - BIG DAY (UNMISSABLE)

• People's recommendation: decorate balconies and windows with banners/image of the Blessed (available at the Convent de la Caritat and at the Can Renyina magatzem)
• 10:30 - Mass in honor of Blessed Francinaina (parish church)
• 11:30 - Start of the Floral Offering (Plaça de les Escoles de Can Bril): veneration of the tomb, arrival at Plaça de la Vila, greeting, reading of the Offering poem, dance of s’Estol de Sa Tia Xiroia and Floral Offering
• Visit to the panels/plastics about the life of the Blessed inside the church
• 19:00 - Solemn Mass in honor of the Blessed (parish church)
• At the end: xocolatada for everyone
