Fabrizio Plessi (Italy, 1940), one of the most renowned pioneer creators in the realization of video installations, was linked for thirty years to the island of Mallorca. With this project, curated by Nekane Aramburu, Es Baluard carries out a review and analysis of his productions created from the island as a place of projection and inspiration.
The artist will have, in the near future, an interpretation center dedicated to his work, which will be installed in the S'Abeurador building in Santanyí, a town near Es Llombards, where Plessi had his residence. Es Baluard will be in charge of the scientific and curatorial part, according to an agreement signed last year with the City Council of Santanyí.
The universe of Plessi is imbricated in the baroque, although it is minimalist and its details extend on always humanistic scales.
