Critics praise this young Bulgarian pianist for his astonishing originality, imagination and creativity. Evgeni Bozhanov was born in Rousse in 1984 and between 2001 and 2006, studied in Germany first in Essen and then in Dusseldorf, under the tutelage of Georg Friedrich Schenck.
In his still short career he has already received several awards at major international competitions, the last in 2010 at the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw.
The first part of this concert, which closes this edition of the Valldemossa Chopin Festival, is dedicated to works by Chopin: barcarolle, three valts and Sonata Op 58 in E minor. In the second part, works of Schubert, Debussy and Franz Liszt.
