Eunate XXI is a new challenge in chamber music, a piano and sax duo with a new musical aesthetic. The Navarrese saxophonist Josetxo Goia-Aribe will show all his imagery with compositions and arrangements of his own, with the complicity of pianist Ana B. Garcia.
Eunate, a Romanesque basilica of more than 800 years old, is the icon of this musical proposal. In the concert you will hear melodies and popular expressions from the westernmost Pyrenees that have endured through oral transmission and have a halo of magic and mystery in tonal, modal, atonal key with new arrangements, phrases and harmonies and space for improvisation.
In the repertoire they emphasize the compositions Aurresku gitano, Solsticio de invierno, Saioa or Eunate XXI.
