She fascinates audiences around the world with her voice and figure, something that comes from genetics. Her father, maestro Enrique Morente; her mother, dancer Aurora Carbonell, singer Estrella Morente closes the 54th Pollença Festival with this concert in sextet format.
She is equipped with a crystalline voice, skillfully blending influences from her native Granada with the latest trends in flamenco in the new millennium. She debuted in 2001 with the album Mi cante y un poema and in 2005 released Estrella 1922, a show designed by Enrique Morente that recreates a historical night of flamenco, the first Flamenco Singing Contest held in 1922 at the Alhambra in Granada. Since then, Estrella Morente (1982) has continued to work and receive awards. Her latest album is Amar en paz (Love in Peace) (2014), with guitarist Niño Josele.
In the Cloister of the Convent of Sant Domingo de Pollença she is accompanied by José Carbonell 'Montoyita' (guitar), José Carbonell 'Monti' (second guitar), José Enrique Morente, Angel Gabarre and Antonio Carbonell (palms and vocals) and Pedro Gabarre ' Popo '(percussion).
