The Municipal Band of Palma, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2016, accompanies the acclaimed pianist Enrique Bernaldo de Quiros in this concert held in the courtyard of the Cultural Centre La Misericordia in Palma, directed by its head conductor Salvador Sebastià López. They interpret the Piano Concerto in G major by Maurice Ravel.
Of a Spanish father and a Russian mother, Enrique Bernaldo de Quiros (Moscow 1981) is one of the most international performers of his generation. He has received numerous awards, one of the last was in 2012 in South Africa, the UNISA Piano Competition of Pretoria.
He also develops a facet as a teacher, currently at the Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands as a professor.
