'En Pere de la plaça'

Biel Porcel is the author and puppeteer of En Pere de la plaça, a stem and string puppet show that is now being presented by the Mallorcan company Binixiflat at the XXIII Festival Internacional Teatre de Teresetes de Mallorca. Premiere in the Balearic Islands.

It is a free version of Pere Beneit, a recurring character in many rondallas. They call Pere the town fool, he lives with his mother and he doesn't know how to do much. They laugh at him and try to tease him. But maybe things are not always like that and they are not as silly as they seem. Family show from 3 years old. Catalan language.

The XXIII Festival Internacional Teatre de Teresetes de Mallorca is held from May 24 to 30, 2021 in a total of 21 towns and cities on the island, with performances in municipal libraries, theaters, auditoriums, cultural centers and outdoor spaces.

The program includes 17 shows, with varied and original proposals from 17 different companies, most of them from Mallorca and the peninsula. It also has international representation from countries such as France, Israel, Italy or Brazil.
