Emma Tricca

This Italian singer, based in London, has become the new star of British folk. Emma Tricca is the second proposal of the cycle Women don't Wait, performing at the Teatre Municipal Mar i Terra de Palma coinciding with the International Women's Day, along with singer-songwriter Jason McNiff. It will be their only concert in Spain.

Emma Tricca is inspired by the folk scene of the sixties which she listened to as a child, fascinated by the music of Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell or Carolyn Hester. At fourteen, her cousin got her her first guitar and a few years later she moved to England. First she was in Marlow, where she played in the clubs of Oxford, and then headed to London, lending her voice and guitar at open mic nights in town and gathering experience before creating her band.

She released her first album in 2001, Gypsies and Red Chairs, after that would come, Minor White  (2009), a seductive mix of American and English roots, and the latest entitled Relic  (2014).

As support act will perform Noah Newville and Dan Zelisko. Women don't Wait  has the sponsorship of the City Council of Palma.
