This duo is formed by José Manuel Álvarez Losada (violoncello) and Pedro Mateo (guitar), both titular professors of the Superior Conservatory of the Balearic Islands. In 2015 their first album came out, with the first worldwide recording of two sonatas of the Austrian composer Ferdinand Rebay.
It had an excellent reception by the critics and received, among others, the Opus d'or award from the specialized magazine Opushd.
Their repertoire includes compositions by authors of different nationalities and epochs, paying special attention to Spanish and Ibero-American composers such as Albéniz, Falla, Granados, Nin, Piazzolla, Rodrigo or Sarasate. Also current composers as Brotons, Brouwer or García Abril.
