The new Concert of the 2016-2017 Season of the Fundació Studium Aureum is dedicated to the work of two German composers of Romanticism: Clara Wieck (1819-1896), wife of Robert Schumann, and Fanny Mendelssohn (1805-1847), sister of the also composer Felix Mendelssohn.
Featuring as soloists Ramon Andreu (violin), Dmitri Struchkov (cello) and Andreu Riera (piano).
Program: Fantasia for cello and pìano, by Fanny Mendelssohn; Trio in G minor op. 17 for violin, cello and pian, by Clara Schumann (Allegro moderato, Scherzo, Andante, Allegretto); Three Romances op. 22 for violin and piano, by Clara Schumann (Andante molto, Allegretto, Leidenschaftlich schnell); Trio in D minor op. 11 for violin, cello and piano, by Fanny Mendelssohn (Allegro molto vivace, Andante expressivo, Lied, Finale allegro moderato).
Half an hour before the concert, the composer Mercè Pons will offer an interesting explanatory talk about the works and the composers.
