This Is the third album of Seville pianist Dorantes, with which he won the National Critics Award for Best Instrumental Album 2012. Sin Muros (Without walls) takes as a starting point flamenco to move towards other forms such as jazz, classical and contemporary music.
In the record he has had the collaboration of great voices as Enrique Morente, Carmen Linares, Miguel Poveda, José Merce or Israelian singer Noa.
Although through birth he belongs to the flamenco, David Peña Dorantes (1969) is an atypical creator and virtuoso instrumentalist who moves away from usual fusion. He showed this in his first album Orobroy (1998), that surprised critics and audiences with its freshness. Since then, Dorantes is considered as 'flamenco of the XXI century'.
In Alcúdia Jazz he performs in trio format with Francis Posé (bass) and Javi Ruibal (drums and percussion).
