The American mezzo-soprano Dolora Zajick (1952) is considered the best mezzo in the Verdi repertoire. Since her debut at the San Francisco Opera in the role of Azucena in Il trovatore, she has performed at the major opera houses of the world as the Metropolitan in New York, Covent Garden in London, the Liceu in Barcelona, the Teatro Real in Madrid or Arena di Verona, among many others.
Since 2006 she has her own institute that aims to help young voices to break into the world of opera music.
She participates in the XXIX Opera Season of the Teatre Principal with a lyrical repertoire, in which Verdi will play a prominent role.
