The Russian pianist Dmitri Novgorodsky participates in the International Piano Cátedra 'Alicia de Larrocha' Cycle 2017-2018 with a Master Class (on March 15) and this concert a day earlier at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears. Said Cátedra has the artistic direction of Alfredo Oyágüez Monero.
Novgorodsky offers a program composed by Partita n. 5 BWV 829, by J.S. Bach; Sonata n. 31 Op 110, by L. van Beethoven; Sonata n. 2 Op 19 (Sonata-Fantasia), by A. Scriabin; Barcarolle, Op. 60, by F. Chopin; and Symphonic Metamorphosis on 'Wein, Weib und Gesang' by Johann Strauss II, by L. Godowsky.
