This group, which pays tribute to the legendary band Queen, was formed in the city of Rosario in Argentina in 1998, seven years after the death of Freddie Mercury. They first triumphed in South America and later in Australia. For eight consecutive years it was awarded in the Mathew Street Festival in Liverpool, in the UK, and in 2011 Rolling Stone magazine called it "the best tribute ever seen'.
Dios salve a la reina has been sponsored by Peter Freestone, personal assistant, and biographer of Freddy Mercury for fifteen years. Their new show, with which they are now touring Europe, is called Wembley'86, reviving the concert which the emblematic English band offered in July 1986 at Wembley Stadium (London) during their Magic Tour. The concert was recorded and in 1992 launched as a double compact disc, Live at Wembley'86.
In Mallorca Wembley'86 is presented in two different scenarios, in Manacor September 6 and in Palma September 7.
