It is the official holiday of the Autonomous region of the Balearic Islands and it commemorates the entry into force of the Statute of Autonomy on the first of March, 1983. The program includes sports, gastronomic activities, workshops, theatrical visits, lectures, concerts and open days in the museums of Mallorca and institutional buildings as the Consolat de la Mar, headquarters of the Balearic Government.
The Mallorca full program runs from February 28 to March 9.
