Pere Salas, archivist of Pollença and librarian, presents this book by the writer Llorenç Capellà published in 2014 by the publisher Ensiola. It is a chronicle of what happened on the night of August 20, 1914 in the square of the University of Liege (Belgium), when the German troops looted shops, burned buildings and shot seventeen people at random in one of the bloodiest episodes of the Great War. Among the victims were five Mallorcans, owners and workers of one of the looted shops.
The event is organized by the Obra Cultural Balear de Pollença, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Libraries of the City Council of Pollença.
