Menorcan singer Cris Juanico presents Cançons de Xerxa, a compilation of songs made from a selection of poems by Pere Xerxa, the pseudonym under which the teacher and poet Joan F. López Casasnovas (1952-2022) used to write and publish.
Juanico has selected eleven poems and has framed them into ten folk songs. With a musical production very close to the roots, the result is a sound proposal steeped in tradition in modern schemes. An experience that represents a clear step forward for the musician.
Cris Juanico (acoustic guitars) is accompanied by Lluís Gener (electroacoustic bass and double bass), Blanca Coll (violin) and Moisès Pelegrí (percussions).
