'Corteo'

Premiered in 2005 by the Canadian company Cirque du Soleil, the itinerant show Corteo is now touring Europe, landing at the Velòdrom Illes Balears from August 5 to 14. This production combines the passion of the actors with the strength of the acrobats, immersing the audience in a theatrical and mysterious world.

In Corteo, the clown represents his own funeral, in a carnival atmosphere, while the guardian angels watch in silence.

Set designer Jean Rabasse has divided the big top and its revolving stage in two. In this way, the stage becomes a 12 and a half meter long track on which the artists run from one side to the other.
