On the occasion of the celebration of Santa Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, will be celebrated this annual concert in which the Band and Choirs of Pollença pay tribute to British musician and violinist Philip Newman (Manchester, 1904-Mallorca, 1966).
Adopted son of the city, Newman created in 1962 the prestigious Festival de Pollença, the only festival of the Balearic Islands which is part of the European Festivals Association.
