The Orquestra Universitat de les Illes Balears, conducted by Xisco Amengual, and the Orfeó Universitat de les Illes Balears, conducted by Conxa Oliver, offer this Easter concert at the Auditori d'Alcúdia with an exquisite classical repertoire.
The concert will open with the orchestral overture to L'italiana in Algeri, by Gioachino Rossini. Next, the orchestra and the choir will perform the famous Ave Verum followed by the Missa Brevis, by W.A. Mozart. In these last two pieces we will be able to see and hear the orchestra and the choir in a great musical dialogue and, in the Missa, four vocal soloists will also interpret this brilliant work in a harmonious way.
The concert will end with both ensembles performing the little gem by Frenchman Gabriel Fauré, La cantique de Jean Racine.
Free for students of the Escola Municipal de Música d'Alcúdia presenting the student card.
