PHONA Cicle de Noves Músiques de Mallorca pays tribute to the Catalan composer Carles Guinovart, who died in Barcelona on October 1, 2019. In this concert his figure will be remembered through some of his most representative works for solo and chamber ensemble. It ends with Divertiment a la manera d'Erik Satie, which Guinovart finished composing in Palma in June 2019.
Directed by Tomeu Moll-Mas, who also plays the piano, it will be in charge of members of the Ensemble Espai Sonor (Pere Sansó Crespí, flute, and Rafel Caldentey Crego, clarinet) and guest musicians Toni Perelló (guitar), Albert Díaz (piano), Marta Hatler (viola) and Lluís Guinovart Poch (violin), son of the composer and resident in Mallorca for years.
