This was to be the last concert of the tour Vostè és aquí, also the title of their latest album. But unexpectedly, the Mallorcan band Antònia Font announced on November 28 its dissolution after 17 years of experience and the Teatre Principal of Palma is the last stage that will see them play together.
Vostè és aquí (2012 ) is the ninth album of a brilliant career that began in 1997. Joan Miquel Oliver (guitar and composition) and Pere Debon (drums) were the initiators, who shortly after were joined by Pau Debon (guitar and vocals), Jaume Manresa ( keyboards) and Joan Roca (low). In recent years the quintet has garnered significant recognition like the 2008 Music Award for Best Pop Album for Coser i cantar, among others.
Far away from common places, Antònia Font lyrics talk about topics like space, astronomy, robotics .... a universe that captivated their fans from the beginning. As they have expressed, from now on all of them will concentrate on personal projects.
