This vocal formation was created in Palma two decades ago and today is considered one of the best in Europe. They have a very unique repertoire as they version a capella their favorite themes of pop-rock and even famous movie soundtracks, like they have done in their album, Moon River (2011). Feel 'n' Soul is the title of the new album released in 2014, when is fulfilled the twentieth anniversary of its creation.
Cap Pela initially consisted of twelve members, but now has been reduced to six: Esther Barceló (soprano), Sofia Domènech (soprano), Begoña de la Iglesia (contralto), Carol Domènech (contralto), Guillem Ramon (tenor), Santiago Francia (tenor) and Joaquim Domènech (bass).
This concert is being held to benefit the Foundation Coll Bardolet, which works to raise awareness of the work of this artist who lived and worked in Valldemosssa. The program includes the topics Part I Rolling, Sir Duke, Moondance, I want you back, Ain’t no sunshine, Hit the road, I heard it through the grapevine, Sitting on the dock of the bay, Feeling good, I wish, Can’t hurry love and Everybody hurts.
