A proposal by the Third International Music Festival 'Vila de Santanyí' for the Saturdays in August. The third event will be headed by Bledar Zajmi (violoncello) and Pavel Svoboda (harpsichord), with a program consisting of Sonata in E minor (A. Vivaldi); Concerto in D minor, BWV 974 (JS Bach); Suite no. 2 in D minor for Cello, BWV 1008 (JS Bach); Sonata in F major (N. Porpora); Partita in G major Was Gott tut, das ist wohl getan (J. Pachelbel); Sonata in F major (F. Benda); and Rondo (L. Boccherini).
Bledar Zajmi (Tirana, Albania, 1973) is currently concertmaster at the National Theatre in Prague. Throughout his career he has won awards at prestigious international competitions as la Palma de Oro and Finale Ligure and Rovere d'Or in San Bartolomeo al Mare, both in Italy.
For his part, Pavel Svoboda is one of the most noted organists today. He has been awarded in several international organ competitions as the Young Organists in Opava, the International Competition Enforcement in Brno, Petr Eben, the Internationale Orgelwoche in Korschenbroich (Germany) and the International Music Competition Prague Spring. As a soloist he has performed with major orchestras and has recorded several CDs. He is the artistic director of the International Music Festival FL Vek.
