The Àrea de Benestar Social i Igualtat de l'Ajuntament d’Alcúdia, presents this exhibition on the Galician writer Concepción Arenal in the framework of International Women's Day.
Concepción Arenal (Ferrol, 1820-Vigo, 1893) was a realist writer linked to the pioneering feminist movement of the late twentieth century. In her work she denounces the situation of prisons, the misery of health homes or begging, in addition to her defense of women's rights.
