Although it sounds paradoxical, classic books usually are because they are extremely modern. They raise questions of the greatest viability for us and constitute an essential source for understanding Western civilization. This lecture features a series of five classics by the hand of Laura Borras, professor of comparative literature at the University of Barcelona.
