This formation is modeled after the chamber orchestras of baroque and classical eras. Its founder and music director is the Russian violinist Ashot Tigranyan, has its headquarters in the U.S. and this month of September is on tour through Spain making a stop in Mallorca, where it will offer five concerts between Llucmajor and Palma and Arta.
Tigranyan will play a violin crafted in 2011by luthier Eric Benneing from Los Angeles, following the model created in 1748 by the Italian master Tommaso Balestrieri.
In this concert he plays violin solos and forms a duo with Canarian violinist Anabel G. Castle. The program is dedicated to Bach (Concerto for Two Violins and The Passion According to Saint Matthew) and Vivaldi (The Four Seasons).
