A group of Mallorcan professionals stage a series of works by Russian writer Anton Chekhov (Taganrog, 1860-Badenweiler, 1904) at Can Alcover, under the generic title of Jardí desolat (Desolate garden), which Joan Alcover (1854-1926 ), Mallorcan poet, essayist and politician, alluded to in the poem La relíquia (The relic).
