Chuchito is the third generation of Cuban pianists from one of the most distinguished musical families. Grandson of Bebo Valdés and son of Chucho Valdés, he needs no further introduction, although in Europe he is little known. On his tour of Spain, he arrives to Mallorca and performs in an intimate format at the Torre de Canyamel, presenting his Suite Picassiana project.
Born in Havana 56 years ago, this pianist, composer and arranger has been nominated several times for the Latin Grammys. He enjoys great versatility that he manifests through his multiple stylistic influences: from Afro-Cuban jazz, to Latin jazz, soul, pop and other genres such as danzón, cha-cha-chá or Caribbean rhythms.
