Chee-Yun Kim

Charismatic, passionate about her art and with extraordinary talent. This is how is defined the South Korean violinist Chee-Yun Kim, who participates in the V International Music Festival 'Vila de Santanyí'. The concert is directed by Alfredo Oyágüez Montero and also has the participation of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears.

Chee-Yun Kim (1970) performs regularly with the most important orchestras in the world and plays a Stradivarius Ex-Strauss made in Cremona in 1708, provided by Samsung Foundation of Culture of Korea and the Stradivarius Society of Chicago.

Concerto for violin and orchestra op. 47 in D minor, by Jean Sibelius (1865-1957)

Adagio di molto
Finale, allegro ma non tanto

Symphony no. 6 op. 74 in itself minor 'Pathetic', by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893)

The 5th International Music Festival 'Vila de Santanyí' has as its resident composer the Majorcan Antoni Perera Fons, one of the most considered Spanish record producers and National Music Award 2016.

The area of art is carried out this year by Pep Coll, resident artist of the Festival who presents from  May 21to  July 1in the Sala Bússer the exhibition Confesions d'un pocavergonya.
