Chano Domínguez Trio

The great pianist from Cádiz, Chano Domínguez, is a highly respected and sought-after musician who has successfully achieved a strange mix between Latin, flamenco and jazz rhythms and languages. He visites the 26è Mallorca Jazz Sa Pobla in his trio format, accompanied by Horacio Fumero and David Xirgu.

The solvency of Chano Domínguez is demonstrated in his many collaborations with musicians such as Jorde Pardo, Carles Benavent, Michel Camilo and Martirio, with whom we could see him last year at the Jazz Voyeur Festival presenting the concert A Bola de Nieve.

He also participated in the documentary Calle 54 by Fernando Trueba, released in 2000, along with Tito Puente, Gato Barbieri, Chucho Valdés, Paquito D´Ribera and Jerry González.

David Xirgu is is one of the most recognized, solid and versatile drummers in the music scene, tireless collaborator in countless formations and record projects of all kinds.

Completing the trio Horacio Fumero, a benchmark for more than three generations of bassists in the country. For more than twenty years he was the forger of the rhythmic sound of Catalan pianist Tete Montoliu, in addition to performing with renowned jazz heavyweights such as saxophonists Gato Barbieri and Johnny Griffin, or trumpeter Woody Shaw.
