'Catapulting talent'

The second appointment of the 9th Alcúdia Clarinet Festival is this clarinet and piano concert with two young talents from Mallorca: the clarinetists Lupe Vidal and Carla Plà.

Lupe Vidal (Felanitx, 1998) began her clarinet classes at the age of 6 at the Conservatori Professional de Música de Felanitx, later joining the local band. From 2017 to 2021 she has studied clarinet at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, obtaining a 9.7 in her final recital.

For her part, Carla Plà (Valencia, 1996) has lived in Mallorca since 2017. She began her studies at the age of 10 at the Societat Musical d'Alzira and in 2021 she completed her higher degree in clarinet at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears with a score of 9.3 in their final recital of the degree. She has collaborated with la banda de la federación de la Comunitat Valenciana and is currently a member of the symphonic orchestra of the University of the Balearic Islands.
