This year, the carnival is dressed in Far West converting the town to Manacor City. On Saturday night, the Plaza Ramon Llull will be like one of those sceneries of the Far West movies where you can hear music of all time, especially those songs that remind us of the western United States.
There will also be attractions, activities and a mechanical bull that can be mounted by those who are disguised according to the theme, such as cowboys, gunmen, Indians, thieves, sheriffs, cancan dancers, etc. An overview of any of the films of the genre will be an inspiration.
Before, the carnival in Manacor begins with the Dijous Llarder (Thursday “lardero”) and ends on Tuesday 28 February with the burial of the sardine, the ceremony with which the end of Carnival is announced.
