Carlos Checa (Barcelona, 1976) directs this first concert of the 2012-2013 season of the Symphony Orchestra of the Balearics 'Ciutat de Palma', performing as solo cellist Emmanuel Bleuse. The program consists of Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in B Minor, of Antonin Dvorak, Symphony No. 1 'Classical', Sergei Prokofiev, and The Firebird Suite No. 2, of Igor Stravinsky.
