Carabassamba Festival

Coinciding with the Festes de Sant Francesc de Muro, the cultural association Carabassamba organizes this festival of three days dedicated to the samba and percussion. Involves a total of 20 local, national and international groups from different backgrounds. In addition to performances, there will be parades and workshops.

Friday, April 6

18:00 h. Drum and dance workshop with Thalita Santos, Mariana Braga and Jayme Altaz. Escola Graduada.

22:00 h. Carioca night. With the performances of Senario, Querschläger, Corretto Samba, Carabassamba Samba Sapiens, Empire of Papagaio and Pagode Saba de Ilha. Escola Graduada.

Saturday, April 7

10:30 h. Battery workshop with Thalita Santos and Mariana Braga. Escola Graduada.

16:00 h. Batucada parade From Plaça Sant Martí to the Escola Graduada.

18:00 h. 2 scenarios 2 environments. Batucada performances, music band, capoeira show, dance show, concert, samba wheel, Dj, artisan and local products fair, foodtrucks. Escola Graduada.

Sunday, April 8

11:00 h. Performances of invited batucadas. Plaça Comte d'Empúries, Plaça del Convent and Plaça Sant Martí.
