Samanidis & Skjønhaug is the fortuitous encounter between a Nrwegian bass player and a Greek singer and pianist on the island of Mallorca.

From two geographical extremes and two very different musical worlds with jazz, electronic and classical music, Irina Cotseli and Christian HoelSkjønhaug combine in their repertoire the sonorities and poetics of Mikis Theodorakis, the dialogue of Olav Hauge and Edvard Grieg and the Chanson Française
