'Calle 54'

This documentary of the year 2000 and directed by Fernando Trueba is a meticulous work of investigation and pursuit in which homage is paid to the most outstanding artists of  Latin Jazz. Calle 54 is screened within the Film and Jazz Cycle that programs the 11th edition of the Jazz Voyeur Festival.

Calle 54 is a Spanish, French and Italian co-production in which the most outstanding artists of Latin Jazz participate. Brazilian artists like Eliane Elias, Cubans like Paquito D'Rivera, Bebo Valdés and Chucho Valdés, Spaniards like Chano Domínguez, Dominicans like Michel Camilo, Puerto Ricans like Tito Puente or Argentines like Gato Barbieri.

An enthusiastic and emotional trip that closes with a dialogue on the piano between Bebo and Chucho Valdés, a reunion between father and son, long separated.
