It is the first performance of this group which brings together eleven musicians from the Balearic and Catalan scene with very different styles, from jazz to pure classicism. The project arose spontaneously in a makeshift recording sessions held in December 2015 in Santa Margalida (Mallorca).
Branca Santa is a dialogue between friends where words are transformed into sounds and harmonies, in which the personal speech of each one of them merges encouraging the creation of something new, always with improvisation as focus.
The collective consist of Pep Garau (trumpet), Tomeu Garcias (trombone), Miquel Gayà (trombone), Miquel Angel Rigo (tenor sax), Xarim Aresté (guitar and vocals), Roger Pistola (voice), Jordi Alvarez (guitar and vocals) Llorenç Barceló (hammond), Josep Munar (guitar) Esteve Huguet (drums) and Teo Salvà (drums).
