The XLIV International Music Festival of Deià has among its guests Boris Berman, prestigious pianist, composer and pedagogue born in Moscow. In the Son Marroig Music Hall, it offers a program made up of works by Silvestrov, Bach/Brahms and Brahms.
Boris Berman studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and in 1973 left the Soviet Union to emigrate to Israel and, in 1979, moved to the United States, where he has lived ever since. He has performed in more than forty countries as a soloist and has a wide repertoire that covers all styles, from the baroque to current composers.
The XLIV Deià International Music Festival is held from June 2 to September 29 with concerts at its various venues: Son Marroig (Deià), Sineu, Sa Bassa Rotja (Porreres) and Palau March (Palma). This year the Caló de s'Oli auditorium in Ibiza is also incorporated with a benefit concert for APNEEF. The pianist Alfredo Oyágüez Montero is its artistic director.
