The company Mai Som Tot Teatre presents this adaptation by Paco Mir of the work of British playwright Peter Shaffer (1926), one of the favorites of theater lovers. Black Comedy is a brilliant play of black humor that tells the story of a young sculptor who waits impatiently for the arrival of an influential collector to his studio. Suddenly there is a power cut and disaster begins.
The work was premiered for the first time in 1965, although the version we see in the Teatre d'Alaró is based on a review of the original performed in New York in 1993. With direction and set design by Gavin Miller, it is interpreted by Rafael Amengual, Antonia Oliver, Margalida Puig, Pere Soler, Llorenç Canaves, Joana Maria Oliver, Marc Rigo and Bernat Bordoy.
The company from Felanitx Mai somTots Teatre performed Black Comedy (farce in one act) in April 2012 and now represents it as part of the program VII Amateur Theater Shows.
