The Observatory of Es Baluard becomes this summer the residence of work for this multilingual (English, Spanish and French) creation based on the life and work of forgotten poets of the Beat Generation.
This literary movement is one of the leaders of the return to the oral tradition in poetry, which these artists declaimed in the jazz bars. Beat Attitude! is based on the poets Ilise Cowen, Joanne Kyger, Lenore Kandel, Diana di Prima, Joyce Johnson and Denise Levertov, among others. It is a creation by three resident poets (Annalisa Marí Pegrum, Sen. Saiban and Irene) and multimedia artist Man Hauser.
The working process is shown in an exhibition from August 3 to 18 and will be presented on October 29 at the II International Poetry Slam, which this year takes place in Es Baluard.
