The Japanese pianist Ayaka Shigenobu (Hiroshima, 1990) received her first piano lesson by her mother at five years old and in 2004 she entered the Yehudi Menuhin School in England, where she studied with Marcel Baudet and Renana Gutman. She continued her studies in Germany at the Universität der Künste Berlin. From a young age she has participated in many concerts as a soloist, chamber musician and with orchestra.
In these years she has won several awards, including the third prize in the Euregio Award Piano Competition of Geilenkirchen (Germany). Program: English Suite nº 3 in G minor, BWV 808, by J.S. Bach; Yhème et Variations, Op. 73, by G. Fauré; and Piano Sonata nº 3, Op. 11, by R. Schumann.
