The cycle Audi Spiritus - Concerts d'hivern a l'Esglèsia program this Easter concert by the group Polissonia and the Cor Marçal, with a program of profane and religious music of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
Polissonia was created in 1997 with the desire to deepen the study of music for sweet flute and its repertoire goes from the Middle Ages to the Baroque, with a special interest in the music of the ancient Catalan and Aragonese kingdom and the Hispanic Renaissance.
The proposal now presented includes authors such as Martí Coll and Francesc Guerau, as well as the premiere of the transcription of the Tones per a ministrils of the Seu de Mallorca, by Cristina Menzel Sansó.
The group is formed by Eugeni Canyelles, Francesc Cubells, Bàrbara Duran, Francesc Huguet, Lluc Mas and Francesca Suau.
In the second part of the concert the stage will be shared with the Cor Marçal, dedicating the program to the sacred polyphony of Easter time and to the profane polyphony of outstanding authors of the Renaissance.
The choir is formed by Aina Martínez and Maria Tomàs (sopranos), Irina Cotseli and Maria Mascaró (contraltos), Gabriel Noguera and Maties Cerdà (tenors) and Jaume Obrador and Pep Alcón (baritones).
