Throughout a week, from July 24 to 31, the new edition of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest programs more than thirty films (including feature films, documentaries and short films), music concerts and talks with some of the most relevant figures of the world of cinema today.
At the opening ceremony of Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest 2022, Irish filmmaker Neil Jordan, winner of an Oscar for Game of Tears, will receive the Masters of Cinema award. Throughout the festival he will also be received by the Ukrainian Sergfei Loznitsa, one of the reference names of this festival, and the legendary French actress Isabelle Huppert.
Among the films scheduled are several premieres in Spain and the Balearic Islands, the premiere of the restored copy of Dance in the Dark by Lars von Trier, starring the singer Björk, or the exclusive premiere of the long-awaited film debut of Lourdes Hernández, the singer of indie music known as Russian Red.
Amaia will close # AMFF2022 in the Misericòrdia patio with a grand piano reeling off the songs from her second album and the hits from the first.
In this edition the festival venues are: Center Cultural la Misericòrdia, Sala Rívoli, Teatre Municipal Mar i Terra, Cine Ciutat, HM Palma Blanc, Pere Garau Library, Museum of Mallorca, Ses Voltes and Nou Llevant Children's Library.
